Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Health Service volunteers are a diverse group of men and women who currently range in age up to 90 years young. Many have volunteered for more than 20 years. The care and friendliness of these volunteers continues to brighten the lives of thousands of patients.

Royal North Shore and Ryde Hospitals (North Shore Ryde Health Service)
There are more than 60 different volunteer programs that operate at Royal North Shore and Ryde Hospitals, including:
Pink Ladies: The Pink Ladies organise the patient
trolley service, market days, fashion shows, cake stalls, barbecues, raffles
and other fundraisers, including managing their gift shop.
The corner shop volunteers: The corner shop volunteers manage
the RNSH gift shop 365 days a year and donate all the proceeds to the hospital.
Ward Companions: Ward companion volunteers provide support to patients on the aged care and spinal wards, and in the acute assessment unit and the transit lounge.
Museum and Archives: The RNSH museum and archives volunteer teams play a vital role in preserving the hospital's history and heritage.
Meet & Greet: Located at the main entrances of each hospital, meet & greet volunteers assist with directions and visitor enquiries.
