The Childbirth & Early Parenting Education team has been busy upgrading the enrolment system so that our participants can enrol in their courses (and make payments) online!
A few aspects are just being finalised with online enrolments set to be available by mid-December 2017.
While seeing in a new era of online enrolments, the Childbirth & Early Parenting Education team has also updated our 'baby' icon.
The new icon signifies the diversity of our parenting population. It also links back to the RNSH campus, referencing the Morton Bay fig trees and their distinctive leaves that welcome new parents to our service!
Who Are We?
Childbirth & Early Parenting Education is an pre-natal education unit within the Lower North Shore Health Promotion Unit.
We conduct preparation for birth, parenting and exercise programs, as well as facility tours for expectant parents - primarily for those attending RNSH for the birth of their baby.
We are a non-profit making organisation with most of our income being generated from course fees. These fees help to cover costs only and concessions are available (see booking conditions). All fees include GST.
Our leaders are qualified midwives, physiotherapists or exercise leaders who are highly skilled adult educators. They undergo extensive training and assessment with the health service.
Our classes are held in several locations on the RNSH campus and at the Hydrotherapy Pool, Graythwaite Rehabilitation Centre, Ryde Hospital.
A range of Preparation for Birth, parenting and exercise programs, including facility tours, are offered. It is essential to book before attending.
If you would like to attend our pre or post natal exercise courses, you will need to submit a completed Childbirth and Early Parenting Courses Medical Clearance Form with your application:
Prenatal Aqua Exercise and Yoga Medical Clearance Form
Postnatal Aqua Exercise, Yoga and Pilates Medical Clearance Form
(Please do not submit a Healthy Lifestyle Courses Medical Clearance Form)
