At Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD), health research is at the core of achieving better outcomes for our patients, consumers, carers and families, and for our community.

Research is a fundamental component of a high performing, innovative health district, and we know that the best quality healthcare is provided for our communities when a robust feedback loop exists between systematic research and health delivery.

NSLHD has a proud history of engagement with a variety of research partners, including universities, medical research institutes, public health organisations, industry, non-government organisations and philanthropic organisations.

Our long standing relationship with the University of Sydney is evidenced in the joint venture Kolling Institute for Medical Research, and NSLHD is a foundational partner of Sydney Health Partners.

As established in the NSLHD Research Strategy 2019-2024, we aim to ensure that quality research continues to underpin and improve patient care and community wellbeing, with advances translated effectively from the laboratory to the bedside.
