General members are laboratory-based, hospital/pathology or clinical scientific research or diagnostic staff based at the RNSH campus for at least 50 per cent of their working week and for whom the first affiliation is an Institute at the RNSH campus. Scientific staff not meeting these criteria may be considered upon application on a case by case basis.
Student members must be scientific research or diagnostic post-graduate students (Masters or PhD) based at the RNSH campus for at least 50 per cent of their research project and for whom the first affiliation is an Institute at the RNSH campus.

Annual membership fees are for the duration of the financial year (1st July – 30th June of the following year). These fees contribute to the running of the RNSH SSC Scientific Forums and minor administrative costs.

Why should I become a member?
In addition to our role in advocacy, the RNSH SSC prides itself on providing opportunities for career development of its members. These include the provision of travel and study fellowships to attend conferences, workshops, and other professional development activities. These fellowships are only available for current financial members.
