How to get your COVID-19 vaccination at a Northern Sydney hospital

AstraZeneca vaccinations for COVID-19 are now available at Hornsby and Mona Vale hospitals for the general public aged 60 and over, while people aged 40-59 can book to receive their Pfizer vaccination at Royal North Shore Hospital.

To check if you are eligible to receive a vaccination and to 'make a booking', please use the Federal Government’s Vaccine Eligibility Checker External Link.

Once it is confirmed you are eligible to receive a vaccination, please select the make a booking option and select a clinic convenient to you.

You must make an appointment with the clinic through the Eligibility Checker to be vaccinated; walk in appointments are not available.

After selecting ‘make a booking’, if you choose a Northern Sydney Local Health District centre, you will be asked to create an account and follow the prompts to complete your booking.

Demand for vaccinations is high and some vaccination clinics are fully booked. It is best if you continue to check the Eligibility Checker weekly to see if any new appointments open up at your preferred clinic, as more capacity is added.

If you have a GP, you can also book your COVID-19 vaccination through them.

On the day of your appointment, it is recommended you arrive 15 minutes early. You will be required to wear a mask as well as present your Medicare Card (if you have one) and photo ID. When you arrive at the appointment please tell the staff if you would like a telephone interpreter to assist you.

Please note, you will not be able to receive a COVID-19 vaccination if you have had any vaccinations in the two weeks prior to your appointment. After receiving your COVID-19 vaccination, you need to wait two weeks before any other vaccinations, including for the flu. If you are receiving Pfizer, you should not receive any vaccinations between your first and second dose.

You can also book an appointment by calling the Health Direct hotline on 1800 571 155.

To book for a COVID-19 vaccine, please use the Federal Government’s Vaccine Eligibility Checker External Link.

If you would like to receive your second dose at our clinic, please email [email protected] with the following details:

  • Full Name
  • DOB
  • Mobile number
  • Email
  • Date and location of dose one
  • Preferred date/time for dose two (we will try and get as close as possible to your request)

We appreciate your patience and ask to be given three days’ notice to allow us to complete the necessary changes.
