Visitors welcome back to our hospitals

We are really pleased to welcome back visitors to our hospitals from Monday 11 October. We know how important visitors are for the wellbeing of our patients and how difficult it has been for them and their loved ones during this time.

Two visitors are now allowed to visit a patient per day as long as a visitor:
• Is at least 12 years of age.
• Has had two doses of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine.
• Has evidence of their vaccination status when they enter the facility.
• Wears a surgical mask correctly on entry at the facility and for the duration of the visit.

To keep our patients and staff safe, it is so important for visitors to keep their masks on at all times during their visit. Please limit your movement, and continue to practice social distancing and hand hygiene.

The new visitor rules only apply to non-COVID-19 wards and non-COVID-19 positive patients.

Visitor restrictions still remain for those not vaccinated or partially vaccinated. Please speak to our staff at the entry and follow their instructions. Hospital staff will give careful and compassionate consideration to individual circumstances.

We thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
