The Northern Sydney Cancer Centre (NSCC) is an integrated cancer care network, provided by the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD). Our centre is located within Royal North Shore Hospital and is easily accessed by public transport from St Leonards Station.
The aggregation of the full range of cancer services under the NSCC has facilitated strong multidisciplinary coordination and a holistic approach to each patient's individual journey.
Established in 1960, the Radiation Oncology department is a leading provider in advanced radiotherapy treatment. We offer a team of highly skilled and dedicated health professionals who design and deliver individualised treatment programs optimised for each patient.
Our centre is at the forefront of technology. We offer the latest equipment, utilising highly specialised techniques. The NSCC also provides a range of support services for patients, families and carers. We host a number of ancillary programs such as acupuncture and 'Look Good Feel Better'.
The NSCC is actively involved in cancer research, and is dedicated to improve outcomes for patients and their families. NSCC patients may be eligible to enrol in a number of research trials which can provide access to innovative and advanced treatment techniques. NSCC is a member of both the Australia and New Zealand Radiation Oncology trials group (TROG) and the North American trials group (NRG Oncology).
