About the Movement Disorder Clinic

We provide patient centred management for people living with a movement disorder, most commonly Parkinson’s disease. Our goals are to optimise and co-ordinate the treatment of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, provide advanced therapy options, support and referrals to appropriate allied health and community services.

Patients require a doctor’s referral for a consultation at the clinic. All services provided by the clinic are bulk-billed. Initial consultations include a medical assessment, a neurological examination, referrals for diagnostic tests and procedures as required, support services and treatment options.

In-area referrals can be made through a GP or Specialist. All out of area referrals are to be made via a specialist.

Urgent cases

For cases that will need to be reviewed urgently please contact the department on 02 9463 1737 and fax the referral letter to 02 9463 1058.
