The radiotherapy unit at Northern Sydney Cancer Centre plans and delivers high quality radiation therapy treatment for cancer patients. We co-ordinate care with other sections of the Northern Sydney Cancer Centre, and are engaged in a large range of clinical research projects

Patients must receive a medical referral to a radiation oncologist to have a course of radiation therapy planned and delivered.

Patients can be referred through cancer category specific multidisciplinary clinics or directly to a preferred radiation oncologist.

Urgent cases

Urgent cases can be referred directly to a radiation oncologist. Alternatively, patients may attend the Emergency Department at Royal North Shore Hospital, where there is 24 hour access to medical care.
