Referral
If you would like to see a Social Worker during your hospital admission, please speak to your doctor, nurse or other allied health professional to refer you. Alternatively, you may call the social work department directly.
Urgent cases
During business hours: Call the social work department directly.
After hours: Staff can refer patients and families to the social work after hours crisis service in emergency and crisis situations. This service operates currently within Royal North Shore Hospital only outside normal business hours. In an emergency or crisis situation: Call the hospital switchboard and request the crisis service.
