About the Stroke Clinic
The stroke clinic at RNSH is a Local Health District-wide clinic for patients with cerebrovascular disease. The clinic is designed to offer all patients with cerebrovascular disease the best possible stroke prevention therapy. We offer an integrated diagnostic approach and provide a comprehensive health assessment. The aim is to minimise the sequelae of stroke and to prevent further vascular events.
The clinic works in collaboration with the Departments of Cardiology, Endocrinology, Vascular Surgery and Allied Health.
Preference is given to patients from Royal North Shore Hospital and hospitals in the Northern Sydney Local Health District. GP referrals are accepted for stroke patients only.
Referrals need to be made via fax to 02 9463 1071.
Urgent fax referrals must be submitted directly to the stroke clinic (please call to confirm receipt of referral).
