The Tuberculin Skin Test (TST), also known as a Mantoux test, is used to assess whether a person has been infected with the tuberculosis (TB) bacteria. Please click here to read more about it and how you can fill out a form to make an appointment to get this test done.
Health Care Worker (HCW) and HCW students are now able to have an interferon gamma release immunoassay (IGRA) blood test as routine occupational TB screening via their GP as per NSW Health policy directive PD2018_009. Positive IGRA results are followed up free of charge by a specialist TB physician at a TB chest clinic.
BCG vaccination is done monthly at RNS TB chest clinic. Requests are managed online by NSW Health. Please read these instructions carefully before submitting a request.
