The Child and Family Health Service provides free developmental health checks, support and information on parenting issues for families with children aged 0-5 years.  The centre is staffed by Child and Family Health Nurses who are specialised in child physical and brain development and behaviour.

Following the birth of your baby you will be offered a home visit by one of our Child and Family Health Nurses.

At the first home visit the nurse will check the baby's growth, physical and brain development, discuss any issues regarding breast or infant feeding establish the parents support needs and provide parenting group information.

Parents are encouraged to attend their local Child and Family Health Centre for regular health checks at 1-4 weeks, 6-8 weeks, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, 2 years, 3 years and 4 years and any other time as needed.

  • Group is held at the Hornsby PCYC - PCYC Ku-ring-gai
