Biography

Dr Cara Frame
MBBS FRACGP DCH

Dr Cara Frame graduated in 1983, and has a wide experience in general practice.  She worked for over 28 years in Aboriginal Health, at Redfern Aboriginal Medical Service, which was a great privilege working with the Aboriginal community in a community controlled, multidisciplinary setting.  During this time, one of her roles was working in an antenatal share care team consisting of a midwife, an Aboriginal Health Worker, and herself.  She and the team worked very closely with patients, families, and local hospital maternity services.

Cara moved to the GP Unit in 2014, and is enjoying the variety and complexity of practice, as well as teaching residents and registrars.  She loves working with the team!

Cara enjoys all aspects of medicine, but is particularly interested in antenatal shared care, paediatrics, and sexual health.  Cara has been a GP Supervisor for over 30 years, is an RACGP examiner, and sits on NSW Department of Health GP and Sexual Health Working Group.
