The committee meets four times a year at Ryde Hospitals.
The committee’s primary role is to advise the NSRHS General Manager on health service issues, community needs and concerns.
The Community Consultative Committee provides vital two way communication between the health service and the community. The committee provides information and advice that helps plan local health facilities.
We are looking for people who take a close interest in local affairs; are active in the local community; who understand local issues and concerns, and are prepared to work on realistic solutions to such problems.
We are looking for people who are open to fresh ideas about how health services can best be delivered now and in the future.
If you are interested in joining the Community Consultative Committee please send in an expression of interest. Forms are available at the address below. The Site Manager appoints new members following a relatively informal interview process.
The ability to work in a group is important. The committee is not a place to promote a single issue or point of view.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, people from culturally diverse backgrounds, young people and people with disabilities are particularly encouraged to apply, so that the committee will reflect the diversity of the local community.
If you’re interested in applying please call Michelle on 02 9858 7565 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for application forms.
