There's been a picture perfect response to the 2016 RNSH Staff Photographic Competition, with around 80 top-notch entries received from our talented, artistic colleagues.

The best 30 are now on display outside the Ambulatory Care Centre in the ASB, so make sure you check them out and vote for your favourite.

You can contribute to the People's Choice poll by picking up a nomination form at the front reception desk, completing and lodging it on the spot.

The photographer whose work wins the most People's Choice vote will win $500 – and that doesn't preclude them from taking out one of the top prizes. First prize is $1000, second is $500 and third is $250.

The final 30 will be judged by a panel including a professional photographer, with winners announced in December.

The competition was run by the Arts & Heritage Committee and each snapper was asked to explain how their image represented one or more of our CORE values – collaboration, openness, respect and empowerment.

For the record, our top 30 images are the work of 21 keen photographers, with two women each successful in having their three entries (the maximum allowed) go through to the final 30.

And our entrants come from all areas of our workforce – from medicine, nursing, physiotherapy and pharmacy to pathology, data and records management, finance and environmental services.

Congratulations to all the entrants on the amazing work submitted, and especially the photographers who made the final cut.
