Research is at the core of achieving better outcomes for our patients, consumers, carers and families, and for our community. At Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD), we know that the best quality healthcare is underpinned by robust, systematic research.
Our research spans the spectrum of health and medical fields, and is undertaken across every campus across the district.
Our researchers publish an average of 1,300 peer reviewed publications annually and are frequently successful in major grants granted by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), Australian Research Council (ARC), Medical Research Futures Fund (MRFF) and the NSW Health Office for Health and Medical Research (OHMR).
Our research partners include the University of Sydney, Macquarie University, University of Technology Sydney, NSW Health, Sydney Health Partners, Sydney North Healthcare Network, and many others.
The strength of our partnership with the University of Sydney is evidenced in The Kolling joint venture.
NSLHD also has a proud history of engagement with a variety of partners that assist in facilitating research, including medical research institutes, public health organisations, industry, non-government organisations and philanthropic organisations.
