Radiation Therapists

You will meet a team of highly skilled Radiation Therapists throughout your treatment journey. Radiation Therapists work closely with the Radiation Oncologists to develop a complex individualised plan for your treatment course. They carry out research designed to improve the accuracy of your radiation treatment with a strong emphasis on imaging for treatment verification. Radiation Therapists are also responsible for the daily setup and precise delivery of your treatment. With their close daily contact with patients, Radiation Therapists are here to help you with side-effect care, on-treatment advice, and general supportive care.

Radiation Therapists undertake a four year degree in Medical Radiation Science. While their primary role is patient focused, Radiation Therapists actively participate in both education and research. A number of our Radiation Therapists are working towards completing their Masters and PhD degrees.
