My Aged Care (over 65s) is the new central point for all aged care services in Australia.

How My Aged Care helps you

My Aged Care helps you find all the information you need.

This can be as simple as calling the My Aged Care contact centre on 1800 200 422 or visiting their website where you will find information about:

  • the different types of aged care services
  • eligibility for services
  • accessing services
  • understanding your aged care needs
  • helping you find the right local services to meet your needs - you are able to select your own service provider
  • the cost of your aged care services, including fee estimators

Both the website and contact centre provide information and referrals for clients and their carers to be assessed for all aged care services in Australia.

The contact centre will ask for your consent to create a personalised client record. This record will hold up-to-date information on your needs and the services you receive and means you won't have retell your story to the contact centre, assessors and service providers.

The My Aged Care website has clear, easy to understand information on things such as:

  • Help at home
  • Aged care homes
  • Caring for someone
  • Respite care for carers

You can telephone the My Aged Care contact centre on 1800 200 422 between 8am and 8pm on weekdays and between 10am and 2pm on Saturdays. They are not open on Sundays or Public Holidays.
