Both the website and contact centre provide information and referrals for clients and their carers to be assessed for all aged care services in Australia.
The contact centre will ask for your consent to create a personalised client record. This record will hold up-to-date information on your needs and the services you receive and means you won't have retell your story to the contact centre, assessors and service providers.
The My Aged Care website has clear, easy to understand information on things such as:

- Respite care for carers
You can telephone the My Aged Care contact centre on 1800 200 422 between 8am and 8pm on weekdays and between 10am and 2pm on Saturdays. They are not open on Sundays or Public Holidays.

You will find a Residential Care Fee Estimator and Home Care Fee Estimator on the My Aged Care website. The Fee Estimators allow consumers to estimate what costs their service provider may ask them to pay.
Please note: the Fee Estimator is not a substitute for financial advice. Users are encouraged to seek independent legal, financial, taxation or other advice to check how the estimate relates to their particular circumstances.
