What we do

We provide treatment for people requiring hydrotherapy (aquatic physiotherapy) - warm water based exercise administered by a specialised physiotherapist. Our pool is heated to 32-33 degrees celsius.

Hydrotherapy involves the use of water to treat various conditions such as arthritis and back pain; following orthopaedic surgery such hip or knee replacement or following a fracture.

Please note: Anyone attending hydrotherapy is required to have a land based assessment by a physiotherapist prior to attending the pool.

When to visit us

Must reside in the Northern Beaches Local Government Area. Generally we do not accept workers compensation or third party insurance.

How to visit us

Free parking is available outside the hydrotherapy pool and support services building. Enter Mona Vale Hospital campus via entrance 1 and follow the road around to the back of the campus.

Please note: initial assessment occurs in the Mona Vale Community Health Centre which is located on the MVH campus.

For access to the Beachside Rehabilitation Unit, Hydrotherapy Pool, Loading dock and Support Services please enter the Hospital car park via Gate 1.
