Sleep Investigation Unit - Royal North Shore Hospital

We perform overnight diagnostic sleep studies for the diagnosis and treatment of  sleep disorders which include sleep disordered breathing, respiratory failure, insomnia, narcolepsy and parasomnias. We also perform daytime vigilance and sleepiness testing. 
Our service includes continuous positive airways pressure (CPAP) clinic, respiratory failure clinic, and technician clinic for follow up of CPAP/Bilevel treatment.

We care for  people with  sleep disorders and their ongoing treatment.

Referral

For new patients a GP referral to a sleep/respiratory specialist, who after consultation will assess the need and type of overnight study required .

Medical referral

GP referral required for ongoing  CPAP clinic appointments after initiation of treatment

Interpeter service can be arranged if required

There is no cost to patients attending the clinic.
