Did you know there are 2.65 million carers currently caring for a family member or friend in Australia? There are 130,000+ carers in our local health district alone. So at times, you might feel alone, but you're not – 1 in 8 of us are carers.

Carers make an enormous contribution to our community. National Carers WeekExternal Link (16-22 Oct) is a way for us to acknowledge the role you play in helping us deliver good patient-centred care.

Thank you – for all you do! For doing it day in and day out, for doing it with care and compassion, for putting other's needs ahead of your own. You are truly amazing!

The NSLHD Carer Support Service is here to support you, both in hospital and on your return home. You can call or email any time:  P: 9462 9488 / E: [email protected], or drop in to see us at one of our Carer Centres, open weekdays 9am - 2pm:
