Department of Paediatric Diabetes and Endocrinology - Royal North Shore Hospital

We provide inpatient and outpatient services as well as external consultation for children and adolescents with diabetes and endocrine conditions. 

We care for and treat people with 
-    Type 1 diabetes
-    Type 2 diabetes
-    Other types of diabetes
-    Poor growth 
-    Tall stature 
-    Early and late puberty 
-    Thyroid conditions 
-    And other endocrine conditions. 

For our patients with diabetes, we provide multidisciplinary team care (including endocrinologists, diabetes educators, dietitians and psychologists) including an insulin pump program, education service and transition care of adolescents.

• X-ray and radiology reports and films 
• Referral 
• Blood glucose meters if you have diabetes
• Medicare card

We accept referrals (from GP or specialist doctor) for children and adolescents under the age of 16 years who reside in the Northern Sydney Local Health District.
