Welcome to the award-winning Hornsby-Brooklyn GP Unit, a centre of excellence.

We provide the full range of general practice services from birth to the end of life, encompassing antenatal care to palliative care, and everything in between. Everyone is welcome at the Hornsby or branch location Brooklyn GP Unit.

The Hornsby GP Unit benefits from being a department of Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital. As such, we are in the unique position of being able to offer multidisciplinary clinics in  Aboriginal health – Bungee Bidgel Clinic, with such services as diabetes, paediatrics and mental health, to further benefit our patients.

The GP Unit aims to provide gold standard medical care to our patients, whilst providing a particular focus on teaching. The Unit has a long history, both national and international, as a centre of excellence in teaching medical students, junior doctors (Resident Medical Officers from Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital) and GP registrar doctors training in general practice. All junior doctors are supported by our  five experienced senior doctors (General Practitioners).

We offer the full range of general practice care, including the following:

Opening Hours

Monday to Friday                         8.30am to 5.30pm

Wednesday and Thursday          8.30am to 6.30pm (alternating)

Saturday                                       8.30am to 12 midday (for existing patients)

We welcome new patients and families.

When booking your appointment, please let our receptionist know what type of appointment you require.

• Standard appointment for one issue
• Long appointment for things such as care plans, forms to be completed, more than one issue

Parking is available on site via Gate 5 Derby Rd. Please bring your parking ticket to your appointment for up to 3 hours validation.

The Hornsby/Brooklyn GP Unit is an accredited General Practice.
