Biography

​Penny has been a GP for over 30 years, and has worked with generations of patients at the Hornsby GP Unit for most of that time.  She loves treating the young adults that she once treated as babies and helping the retired patient progress to a new life phase.  It is that whole of life care and knowing patients as people in their community.  That is the very strength of general practice.

She is passionate about general practice and inspiring the next generation of GPs.  She was awarded the RACGP NSW GP supervisor of the year in 2018 for her commitment to supervising registrars and junior doctors and guiding them towards quality general practice.

She also has an interest in health law and medical systems, ad works at Avant, the largest medical indemnity insurer, driving education and research and advocating for a safer health environment.
