What we do

We provide specialised Medical assessment and management to older people. We care for people with Dementia and other cognitive problems as well as problem with mobility and frailty, incontinence, nutrition, medicines and other medical issues.

Aged Care Clinics
Geriatricians provide a holistic assessment to older people with multiple chronic medical conditions. We manage older people’s medical conditions with consideration to all aspects of their health and their overall quality of life.
We assess and manage falls, incontinence, muscle weakness, frailty, fatigue, cognitive impairment, and delirium.

Falls Clinic
We are a multidisciplinary service focussing on identifying fall risk factors in older people who have fallen, who are at risk of falling, or who are unsteady on their feet. We then aim to modify or improve any reversible risk factors, using exercise, medication review and deprescribing, treating other contributing medical conditions, recommending glasses and footwear adjustments and/or suggesting home modifications.

Memory Clinic
We are a multidisciplinary diagnostic clinic and treatment service. Attendees to the Memory Clinic are usually aged between 50-75, with concerns about early memory loss or cognitive decline. Attendees will be seen by a medical specialist and a clinical psychologist and undergo blood tests, brain scans and detailed memory tests. The Memory Clinic provides feedback, referrals, long-term follow-up and access to treatment where indicated.

Neuropsychology clinic
An out-patient clinic that provides access to clients of the Aged Care service to detailed cognitive testing. The testing will assess for the presence, severity and breadth of any changes in aspects of thinking such as memory, attention, processing speed and reasoning skills.
