Eligibility​​


Am I eligible for the program?
​​

To be eligible for the Graduate Health Management Program, applicants need to:
  • General Stream - hold an undergraduate degree from a recognised university, and have graduated within the last five years
  • Finance Stream - hold an accounting, finance, business or economics related undergraduate or postgraduate degree within the last five years
  • Hold an Australian citizenship or be a permanent resident of Australia or New Zealand

Do I need to hold a degree in a health-related field?

No. For the General Stream, we accept applications from graduates who hold a bachelor's degree from a recognised university from any field.
For the Finance Stream, we accept applications from graduates with a university degree in accounting, finance, business or commence.

Do I need health or management experience?

The NSLHD Graduate Health Management Program is designed to introduce you to the health system and no previous experience or study in health or management is required. The graduate program is not suited to people with extensive management experience.


Application process​​


Stage 1: Online applications must be submitted by 11:59 pm on Monday, 12 August 2024


In this stage you will need to complete an online application, providing answers for the selection criteria outlined in the Position Description. Please attach your cover letter and resume with your application.

Stage 2: Virtual Interviews by 5 September 2024


Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a short virtual interview to get to know you better. These virtual interviews will be conducted in late August and early September 2024.


Stage 3: Formal Interviews in September 2024 as follows: ​


General Stream – 12 September 
Finance Stream – 30 September 

If you are a successful candidate, you will be invited for a formal interview. This will involve delivering a presentation and answering a series of questions to ascertain your suitability for the role. 

Stage 4: Offers of employment by end of October 2024


If you are a successful candidate, you will be notified over the phone and you will receive a letter of offer. This offer will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks (citizen, visa, qualification, and criminal history).
