National Carers Week
Celebrating the outstanding contribution unpaid carers make to our nation. Every October we recognise and celebrate carers who provide care and support to a family member or friend. We have a variety of local events and activities during this time to celebrate. Be sure to check out our website and Facebook each year closer to the date to find out what's going on.

Consumer Participation
What do you think?
Participation isn't just about consultation. It involves problem solving, service delivery and planning decisions - decisions about treatment and how to improve quality. We often look for carers to participate in carer consultation, focus groups and other projects such as reviewing health service documents or sitting on committees as a carer representative.

Northern Sydney Local Health District is always keen to engage with its community. If you have a patient story to share, or suggestions about how services may be improved there are a number of ways to send your feedback.

The Sounding Board is monitored daily and emails will be forwarded to the NSLHD chair and relevant board members as soon as they are received.

Volunteer
From time to time we look for volunteers to help us with a range of activities across a range of locations - from special events and administration to one-off campaign support and helping out in the Carer's Centre.
