 What we do

 What to bring

  • Your appointment letter from Royal North Shore Hospital
  • A current referral
  • Medicare card
  • DVA/pension card if eligible
  • A copy of pathology and/or imaging results
  • A list of your current medications and drug allergies

If you have a carer or support worker who helps with your daily activities, you may find it helpful to have them attend the appointment with you. However, if they are unable to accompany you, our nurses and other staff will be happy to care for you. If your carer or support worker cannot attend, please contact us as soon as possible on 9463 1400 or [email protected]  so that we can ensure we have everything in place to care for you.

 When to visit us

Your General Practitioner or other non-GP Specialist will refer you to this service if they determine that an appointment will benefit you as a patient.

Once we receive your referral it is the reviewed by the specialist doctor to determine the urgency of the appointment needed. If it is determined that you need to be seen urgently then you will receive a phone call to make an appointment. If your appointment is less urgent you will receive a letter in the mail indicating approximate wait times. Please note that phone calls from the hospital will appear as a blocked number.   Please answer our call if you can.

Please be aware that this process can take up to 4 weeks.
