The Dubbo Mental health Rehabilitation and Recovery Centre is a 10 bedroom facility providing rehabilitation and recovery services to adults with mental health conditions transferring from a hospital setting for further rehabilitation, connecting with the community and their family before going home or adults from the community requiring a short period of early intervention in a rehabilitation environment in order to prevent hospitalisation (step-up).
The Dubbo Mental health Rehabilitation and Recovery Centre is a 10 bedroom facility providing rehabilitation and recovery services to adults with mental health conditions transferring from a hospital setting for further rehabilitation, connecting with the community and their family before going home or adults from the community requiring a short period of early intervention in a rehabilitation environment in order to prevent hospitalisation (step-up).
The facility will support the reintegration patients with the community and will provide support for families and locally based care. The facility will reflect a domestic environment, with individual patient rooms, and a strong connection with outdoor areas.
The facility will include:
- 10 separate bedrooms with ensuites;
- ADL kitchen and laundry;
- Consulting and meeting rooms;
- Activity room;
- Living / dining areas;
- Community gardens
- Family accommodation.
All work is being carried out in strict accordance with relevant NSW environmental legislation and consultation with Work Cover and the EPA.
