Network B Psychiatry Program

 

The Network B training program consists of:

  • Education Sessions, Journal Clubs, Case Presentations are run weekly at most sites which provide trainees with opportunity to present and discuss their cases, ethical issues, psychiatry journal articles.

  • Exam Preparation sessions for pre-examination candidates for both written and clinical examinations are run weekly at various sites within the network to assist you to prepare for your exams.

  • Simulated Trial Exams are organised to give you an opportunity to practice in an exam environment.

  • Psychotherapy Supervision may be provided during working hours by our team of experienced Psychotherapists and Psychiatrists.

  • Psychotherapy Education which includes Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Supervision, CBT workshops, and Basic Counselling Skills courses are available for trainees.

  • Dedicated libraries available at all hospitals, including access to intranet and internet resources.

  • Professional Development programs.

  • Resource collection for exam preparation including OSCE, OCE, M-OSCE, past RANZCP exam papers, comprehensive collection of review articles, core selection of relevant textbooks and clinical tools for exam preparation.  All frequently updated at the College website at http://www.ranzcp.org/

  • Strong Academic Links to the University of Sydney and University of New South Wales.

  • Opportunities for further research with many academic units.

  • Specialty training workshops.
