Dalwood Spilstead – early intervention

The Spilstead Model (SM) of early intervention has been designed to maximise the benefits of the three primary evidence-based interventions for vulnerable families and children at risk, within a comprehensive integrated centre-based approach.

The SM combines parent support, home visiting, and parent-child attachment interventions with multi-disciplinary centre and home-based early childhood education and development programs, in an environment of family centred and strength-based practice.

Dalwood

This "one stop shop" program is unique in its ability to provide a holistic approach with all services for both parents and children provided under one service umbrella and located on the one site. This enables optimum ease for family engagement and ensures maximum co-ordination and consistency of service delivery.

Dalwood Spilstead Service assists vulnerable families who are experiencing stress and challenges in the care and parenting of children under 9 years of age.
