Surgical services are provided at Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gai Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital and Ryde Hospitals.

Our dedicated clinicians strive to undertake evidence based best practise and promote research. Research is embedded within each facility who work closely with the University of Sydney Northern Clinical School.


In 2021, the RNSH SERT Institute produced a comprehensive research activity report for the period 2018-2020, highlighting the extent and breadth of research conducted by surgical departments. This included 450 published manuscripts equating to an average of 148 publications annually from surgical departments in the ChevronRNSH DoSA External Link.
